This is really weird. I can't think of why the link could change, nor why mail could stop working, when going from -dev to -beta1. There's just not that much of a difference (certainly not if you had a recent -dev version).

salvisDid you have 6.x-1.x-dev installed before?
The subscribe link is controlled by the Display settings on admin/settings/subscriptions.

Okay, it had changed to block link, don't know why.
Hmm my Drupal has stopped sending mails, maybe it's a local issue here, I will report back later.
Note: my server is sending mails.

This, along with #273510: Drupal recommends wrong version and fatal memory error when enabling "Blog Subscriptions UI" module, is unexplained behavior. Does anyone see any similar issues?

grn commentedWell, my bad.
It all works fine. The problem was caused by all mails from my drupal were being marked as spam at my mail host.
Sorry for this bug report. Kill it ;-)
