I got the ff errors when I tried to change my site logo and favicon. I have no clue on whats causing this and how to fix it.

warning: move_uploaded_file(/tmp/logo.GIF) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal\includes\file.inc on line 572.

warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move 'C:\xampp\tmp\php50.tmp' to '/tmp/logo.GIF' in C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal\includes\file.inc on line 572.

File upload error. Could not move uploaded file.

The settings have not been saved because of the errors.

Everything was still alright the last time I changed my logo and favicon a couple of weeks ago.

Help.

I got the same problem on my latest 6.3 site.

I have seen two bugfixes for prior releases. I have another 6.3 installation with no problem.

On the problem I site I use FCKeditor - but disabling it changes nothing. I have no idea whats going on.
The to sites are even hosted on the same webhost.

any help much appreciated.

What Theme are you using?
I have installed Drupal 6.3 and i've got no error when i have used a custom logo.
Please, check admin/settings/file-system. Maybe there you'll find something to undestand what's going on

luck! :-)

Thx for the reply. I also have another 6.3 site running with no problems - so I guess I must have done something different (wrong) but have no idea what... I'm using the pixture theme - currently without any modifications. The files directory is set to 775 (if I remeber correctly - anyway, the same chmod as the 'no-problemo' site.

Any help is still very much appreciated.

I had the same problem (using default theme).

In Administer > Site configuration > File system, check the 'Temporary directory', in my case it displayed a path containing a double \\ for some reason (\my\temp\\dir).

I removed that double \\, saved the settings, and then could upload a custom logo.

Please check your file-path from admin settings and also see the folder permission.

Thanks
