This module looks very similar to forward and tellafriend. If the motivation was to add a simple block to forward.module - then I don't see why this couldn't have been submitted as a patch to that module rather than as a new project.
Additionally, tellafriend provides even more similar functionality: http://drupal.org/project/tellafriend
If you have good reasons for duplicating these projects, then more documentation as to the differences between them, to assist users trying to evaluate the various options, would be appreciated.

I've updated the module description.
Hope this helps. I'm not against a joining effort. I simply did this module because none of tellafriend and Forward were doing what I wanted.
