I am using Drupal 5.7 on am XP Pro machine with XAMPP. I am working on the site locally and am trying to ad user pictures to their profile. I have a photo of the correct specs in a folder called photos in files/ directory directory. In Administer > User Management > User Settings I have enabled picture support. I can not get the user photo to display. All that shows is the alt text for the photo and no matter what I enter in Picture image path which in my case is photos I get an error (red) indicator in this field. Can someone please help me.

If the image is attempting to display (showing alt text and a red x) then it is likely an issue with the path to the image. Try viewing the page's source code and locating the user image. You should see something along the lines of:

<img title="savantcreative's picture" alt="savantcreative's picture" src="http://localhost/files/photos/picture-2.jpg"/>

Does the path specified in the src exactly match the directory you've created and placed your image in?
