I have several groups, all with one group forum each. I want these forums to be placed in one container, call "Group Forums". Now, when I activate the box at "Would you like all group forums to be placed in the same container?", with Group Forums as container nothing happens - all the forums stay where they are.

I have tried this several times with various other, empty and non-group, containers chosen but nothing ever happened. A screenshot of my configuration is attached. Any ideas what causes this?

Title: Group forums in same container not working » Group forums in same container not working for existing forums

Addendum: it seems like it is working, it just does not update group forums that do already exist. Shouldn't these be switched automatically? If they are not, you have to go through all group forums, manually move them into the new group container and then delete all the old containers as they are still there - and just clutter the forum display uselessly as they no longer serve any purpose.

However, deleting the old forum container can, it seems, only be done through the general forum module. I have tried this once but it seems that this is bad in terms of associating forums and groups - after deleting the groups container, forum postings made through the OG menu where no longer automatically associated with the group while all other nodes still were.

Have I missed anything or does this simply not work for existing forums? If so, how can I make the transition (without loosing the chance of one day going back, ideally)?

I have confirmed your problem and as far as i can see "Would you like all group forum to be place in the same container" option does not work at all.

@Ryan do you have any insights that you can share regarding this problem ?
