Email notifications

Using Drupal 5.x and the modded to 5.x phpbb forum module.
Everything is running fine otherwise. The problem seems to lie with PHPBB3 rather than the module itself, however I was hoping for advice.

When running the model and phpbb3 in an iframe, everything is good and working as intended. However if a user gets a Topic Reply Notification or Private Message, the URL given in the email takes them directly to the standalone version of PHPBB3 bypassing Drupal.

What can I alter to change the path given in the emails? What module looks after this within PHPBB3 and do you intend to mod that and make it part of the package?

Rather than hack at PHPBB3 I've tried creating URL alias (no effect)
phpBB3/viewforum.php phpbbforum/viewforum.php
