Move "Display Decendants" to a per category basis

I propose that "Display decendants" be an option on a per category basis. In my case I have some categories with primarily static content and some with very dynamic content. In the static content categories, I would like people to drill down to the right are to find infomation about that term, but none of its subterms. But on the same site, I have a very dynamic category that needs to display decendants.
