when a node is changed, workflow_ng event after node editing is not triggered

not sure if I should put this here or as an issue in workflow_ng.

I have a field that change depending on the values of other editable fields. I detect whether the value should change with workflow_ng,, by the event after node edit. Here I can compare the values before and after the node editing.
This event works fine editing a node in the normal way, however, this event is not triggered when editing a node with editablefields.
(I use workflow_ng and not computedfield because the user should in some cases override the value)
