By fumbling on

I'm working on a site that will allow users to post quick questions without having to come up with a subject line and a body-- just their question. So I've eliminated the body field and am just using the subject line. But I'd like the subject line field to be at least two lines tall, rather than just the default one line field. I need to know what file or files I need to change in or outside of my Garland theme to make that possible. Any thoughts?
