Every time I browse to an image to upload for an attribute option and click submit, I receive the following two error messages:

* Image derivative preview failed to generate, or the image was to small.
* Image derivative showcase failed to generate, or the image was to small.

I have tried various images and always receive this error. The largest image I tried was 598x400. Any help is appreciated, I am looking forward to getting this working.

Hello, you can configure sizes at admin/store/settings/attributes I believe. Depending on these derivative sizes you may receive those errors when the image uploaded was smaller than one or more derivatives, which also may lead to some not displaying at all if you are displaying those derivatives. Hope that helps!

Thanks for this tip, it appears a few of the defaults were 800 so this was the problem. I am keeping this marked as a bug whereas the error messages don't really inform the user of how to fix them. I think new error messages should read something like "The images being uploaded are small than the minimum dimensions specified in the attribute settings at http://www.example.com/admin/store/settings/attributes."
