This might help whoever works on this.

For tallying results:

I believe NodeReview already has Fivestar support? It was recently added in.

thank you for the links

however, being the newbie that I am, I am not sure how to tally the results even with a fivestar field. can anyone point me in the right direction?

Fivestar integration is available in the latest dev build.

when will it be available for use?

lotsahair2 - June 26, 2008 - 17:31

and is there any chance of getting some tips of enabling it now?
thanks john

get the dev snapshot

JohnForsythe - June 26, 2008 - 18:08

Basically, just download the latest dev snapshot: http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/nodereview-5.x-1.x-dev.tar.gz

You need Fivestar installed, too, obviously. Then you can enable it in the review configuration.

.

partial solution...

lotsahair2 - June 26, 2008 - 21:48

apparently i couldn't use fivestar because of my..... theme?. after reinstalling the website on my server with a different theme and the dev module - i can see the "Use Fivestar for reviews " box on the review types...

however, still don't know how to tally results.
so, my offer still stands.

further explanation:
let's say my review type has 3 axis for voting: taste, service, serving.
let's say there are 2 reviews
review one has: taste 2, service 1 , serving 4
review two has: taste 4, service 5, serving 4

so i would like to have a tally stating taste 3 , service 3, serving 4 , and to have it show either on the main reviews page of the node, or on the node itself (would be happy to know how to do both).

it seems to me it's not complicated for someone who knows what she/he is doing, but with my limited php abilities i could be wrong.
either way, would be happy to post solution back to community, along with a detailed tutorial on using nodereview (and why i believe it's the better reviewing option than others) + fivestar.

thanks!

Table of tallies

Please see http://drupal.org/node/276195 for a solution

PS. It took longer than 5 minutes…

thanks the module works just fine

lotsahair2 - July 7, 2008 - 06:56

I still have two issues:
1. RTLing the fivestar tally table (i understand this is a theming issue)
2. I would like to see the number of available reviews in the teaser and also in the reviewed node itself.

however, great job, thanks, and I am doubling my original bounty.

another one issue

lotsahair2 - July 7, 2008 - 09:06

this may be super simple, but still - i would like to have numbers show near the stars, like 3.5/5 etc.
don't see a way to do that like other regular content types. am i missing anything?
