Greetings,

We're looking to deploy a new Drupal web site for a high profile client and are looking for a qualified developer or agency to help us with building the site, building the look and feel for the site, and helping us choose which Drupal modules best meet the requirements.

Looking for someone who really knows Drupal well and can work with our team to understand the possibilities. Below are the basic requirements, and more details and a full RFP are available upon request.

Phase One: Initial Implementation

Phase one will consist of an initial roll out that incorporates the following features:

- Content Management: Authors need to be able to publish stories, and stories need to be presented within content sections. Each story needs to be tagged, and users need to be able to view all stories with a certain tag.

- Search Engine: We need powerful search features that include the ability to view results by name, rank, relevance, and content type.

- Image Gallery: Need sophisticated image galleries throughout the site. Thumbnails for images must be able to be resized based on whether the image is tall or wide.

- Flash Integration: Flash is used throughout the site and must be able to be used next to lists of content on web pages.

- Membership Management: A user needs to be able to create an account on the site and select one of three levels of membership. One level will be free, the other two will require payment. Membership level will control access to content in various sections of the site.

- Newsletter Subscriptions: users have the ability to subscribe to one or more newsletters through the site. Editors will be able to send email newsletters to members of five different mailing lists. Emails must be personalized and include the first and last name of the recipient, along with other custom fields.

- Ecommerce: The site must include a product catalog and shopping cart integrated with the basic content management system. Ideally, our marketing partner will be able to log in with a username and password to post new products and control pricing.

Phase One to be completed no later than October 30, 2008.

Phase Two: Social Media

- Personal Contact Forms: Users need to be able to send each other messages through the site. Users should not have to provide their email address to contact other users.

- Buzzwords (tag cloud): Commonly used tags will be shown in a tag cloud for all users to see. Sizes of tag cloud tags and colors will be proportional to their use in the site.

- Friend of a Friend: Members will be encouraged to sign up friends for the site. Friends joining should be able to tell us who sent them an invitation. Users should be given points and sent a message each time a user signs up.

- Astral Marketing: Links posted to articles in the site in popular blogs will be promoted within the site under the astral marketing feature. The idea is to show people what is popular and get them to make it more popular.

- Most commented / Most emailed / Most commented / Most read: We have seen this feature in a number of other Drupal sites and would like to make it part of what we do.

Phase Two to be completed no later than February 15, 2009.
