I have a view that show certain types of nodes, is it possible that if they click the link to that node they won't be directed to that nodes page but will be able to download a pdf version of that node? Thanks.

For d5 there's the http://drupal.org/project/dompdf module (though I've never used it) and http://drupal.org/project/pdfview (I used this one, but had some problems formatting the output properly).

Much more promising is the pdf support in the http://drupal.org/project/print module, however the pdf option is only available in the d6 version.
