My search box will not load in any version of internet explorer. It works fine in Opera and Firefox and I have even looked in the source code of IE and the actual code for the form was not created? Any one any ideas why this has happened? is there a button im missing which enables the search box for IE?

Hi, I'm new to Drupal too, and I noticed that when i tested my site in FF the search box was there, but when I viewed it in IE, it wasn't. Turns out, it is, but i wasn't logged in as admin in IE. There seems to be some feature that enables it for certain users. Just go to 'user management' > 'permissions' and see if you have the search box enabled for everyone. how's that?

it worked just fine for me, so if it doesn't work for you, sorry....

A CSS problem might cause it to somehow not appear in IE, but if it's not even in the source code it's not that. I vote for checking the permissions/login as well. :)

Thanks Madness... Search was not enabled for all users and thats why it was hidden.... doh!
