I tried using your trackfield with the new gmap and the lines do not show up. I found that if i installed the same version of gmap you have. http://drupal.org/node/204534 it works.

I just updated the demo system to the latest version of gmap.module. The demo system now has the latest version of all required modules (aside from CCK).

This indeed makes paths disappear. Will work on the solution.

Couple of arguments had changed in gmap macro. Updated so this is now fixed and committed to CVS.
