Besides relying on sponsored cell phones for more remote and primitive schools, we are sure we can use the Internet for teaching for some schools. Some affected schools already promised that they will let us use their pc labs, which are equipped with Internet access.

We spent over a month building connections with officials, kids, schools, volunteers, etc. We got several hundred volunteers and several hundred kids/orphans who have expressed initial interest to participate. We just need the drupal system to be up so they could start entering data there. In fact, the data entry part (now primitively implemented using the profile module) is already working. We can start collecting data anytime while we are improving the system.

Eventually we want to help every single school, a total of 10,000 of them, 7,000 of which collapsed.
