syntax error in overlays module

I have just uploaded the module to a test site, then used the admin page to enable gmap_overlays. I see the error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '=', expecting ')' in /home/batgung/public_html/maps/sites/all/modules/gmap_addons/gmap_overlays/gmap_overlays.module on line 14

If I try and access other pages on the site I still see this error message. I have deleted the module for the time being.
