I wish to totally suppress e-commerce from sending any transaction emails at all to the customer, this does not seem to be an option. The customer gets an email with transaction details from the payment processor (authorize.net in my case) which is sufficient.

If there is some way to accomplish this via the config screens, I have not found it and it seems a reasonable use case.
