Typing - instead of selecting - the parent?

I am enormously impressed by your module.

A little question - hope there is a solution. I have a huge number of items in the vocabulary, so selecting the parent from a dropdown simply isn't an option.

Is it in any way possible to replace the parent dropdown by an autocomplete box?

If not, how difficult do you think that would be? Is it just a question of replacing the selector by a text input box with a slightly modified Ajax call? If you cannot provide a solution, perhaps some hints at least - someone else might be able to do it, or perhaps me, though my Ajax skills are still poor.

I'll be extremely grateful to the author or anybody who can provide some ideas;
