I'm considering a back port to 5.7, but I don't want to start on it until I get more issues with the 6.x version resolved.

I'm marking the status on this as 'postponed' for now.

I've thought about this some more, and I won't have any available time to work on a Drupal 5 port.

If someone submits a patch to create one, I will try to merge it as a Drupal 5 branch.
