Hi, I try to convert my joomla site to drupal
There are some feautures that I wants:
- I have a primary links menu like (home, community, video, music) whit submenu(secondary links) like (Home [news, etc]; Community [Blog, user list, groups, gallery]; Video [user video, other video].. etc) that are linked to primary... How I can organize that better (node, or taxonomy for these links)?
- In the primary links menu I have some thematics areas like (home, community, video, music); I would like if I click for example on music link, to shown all functionality of this section (content, and any modules that they are relating to music)... I make this whit views module?
- I would like a photo gallery that is maintenable and give to admin or user the poxibility to upload 3-400 photos by week with author, there is a functionality to slideshow the photos, comments and rate individual photo by users.
(I think gallerix is better than other for this works) Any other suggestions? This gallery works only under drupal 5.x.... :(
- Video gallery that shown embed video from youtube, or other providers and also give the possibility to users to upload their videos to server. Rate and comment individual video by users.
- For community develop I would like to make these functionality: poxibility under registration form to submit photo and image crop that photo.
# every user has own page with:
° personal photo gallery (wich module i can use for that??)
° personal video gallery (embed youtube video for example)
° friend list (poxibility to add friends)
° personal guestbook
° personal blog
How can make that under the same page??? and wich modules You think to do better for that???
Now I considere to make all of that with DRUPAL 6, but there are a lot of modules that aren't compatible with d6 but only drupal 5.x... :( :( :(
Do you think I do this work whit drupal6 or that is better to do with drupal 5 and whait to port all in future to drupal 7?

If the modules you need aren't going to be ready for D6 by the time you want to launch, use D5. D5 will be around for a while and D7 is a long way off.
I suggest you spend some time looking thru the available modules and get an idea of what's out there.

therefore best way to build
therefore best way to build new site today is use D5... You thinks best battle plane to make new site now is to build site with D5 and then between 1 year convert all site to D6 (when module are ported to D6)?
For other point of what I wold develop to my site.. any suggestions?
