This module seems to require that synonyms be listed before node creation, otherwise one has to come back and edit individual nodes for the synonym collapsing to be performed on individual nodes, right ? It would be great if upon creation of a synonym Y for term X, all nodes tagged with synonym Y would "gain" term X and "loose" synonym Y (and term Y, which now would have no node associated to it, could be eliminated automatically from the vocabulary list). Perhaps some people would prefer not to have this feature on, so it could be optional, but in my case, this would be really a must !
