Two different activeselect widgets acquire same values

Hi,
I use a vocabulary of country -> city hierarchy and in my node there are two geographical locations to submit.
I have used Activeselect to select both country -> city pairs in the node, and they work OK. After I save the node I see the 4 different terms have been applied.
But when I re-edit the node, the values in the widgets do not keep the values I had saved.
Why is that? I work with latest Firefox 3.
Or perhaps I cannot be using the same vocabulary for the two widgets? Can that be the problem?
Please advise.
