When I disable comments on the "page" nodetype and then restrict that page using Protected Node, when I view that node, it revives the option to "add new comment." Can anyone else confirm?

Sorry I cannot reproduce it, even after a long test session. This issue haven't been confirmed by anyone else, I assume it was a specific issue for your setup. If you can provide additional information and the problem still exists, please re-open this issue.

Hmm... did you try this on version 5.x-1.3? I must have made a mistake in selecting 6.x.

I tried now with 6.x-1.4 and I cannot reproduce this. Can you try it out on a clean Drupal 6 only with protected_node and comments enabled? Also it would be a good start if you post your enabled module listing.

I don't currently use 6.x, so if it's not an issue for you, than it's probably fine on 6.x.

I went through everything again and it's working well. So, no more issue for me. Might have been a combination of a lot of things. I'll let you know if it ever comes up again. Marking as closed.
