Hola - I've tried the latest dev version of this module but am still experiencing this problem.

The signature is erased when users edit a section of their profile OTHER than the main "Account settings" section. (The customized categories that the profile module allows you to setup)

Pants. I've seen the same behaviour intermittently on my own site (was hoping changes to the -dev release would fix it). I haven't much time to dedicate to Drupal at the moment, but when I do I'll fix this as a priority. In the meantime, I'll watch this and if any patches are posted will try to get them committed ASAP.
