I installed the module and it worked fine, but didn't do what I had intended. So I uninstalled it and removed it. But ever since, my permissions have been working oddly. I had only played around with a few settings, so I can't remember exactly what I had changed, but I now am seeing that new users and anonymous users can't see a lot of things they should be able to see. I've double-checked the regular permissions, and it's all fine.

I'm guessing that there are some "hidden" permission settings that are still in effect even though the module is gone.

Any ideas?

Did you try going to admin/content/node-settings and pressing the "Rebuild Permissions" button?
