When I checkmark a post as "promote on the front page". What controls how much of the post is shown before Drupal stick in the "Read more..." link?

For example on my front page here, the post "Funny Tech Song" only showed the title and then drupal cut it off with the "read more" link. But just below that on the next post "Bill Gates Last Day", it show a good amount of my post before cutting off. Why?

You can control where the post is cut off using <!--break-->. Just enter it where you want the teaser be cut off.
