I have enabled the Module, but do not see how to create an RSVP. The instructions on the book page say:
". . . create an RSVP for an event by clicking the 'create RSVP' on the bottom left of the event."
However, there is no 'create RSVP' anywhere on my events. Those instructions are for Drupal 4.7, is something different in D5?
On a user's acct page, I do see an RSVP tab, so some part of the module is working correctly.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure you:

  • administer access control ../admin/user/access
  • are creating an RSVP on an Event content type
  • view the help page ../admin/help/rsvp

When you say make sure you are "creating an RSVP on an Event content type," does that mean a 'basic event'? I have created a custom content type, and event-enabled it so that it shows up in Calendars. Is RSVP only available to a basic event, and not custom events?
    Thanks.

RSVP is available to all events created with Event module.

I have version Drupal 5.9, Event 1.0 and RSVP 1.7.
I've read the instructions here, all the issue posts and the help, but no "Create RSVP" link appears in any page related to creating or viewing an Event. I have correct permissions set (all event and all RSVP permissions are on). I see no reason this should happen, but like the person above the link does not appear.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you,
    -Michael

It turned out that my problem was that I had created a custom content Event type (with some extra CCK fields), so it was different from a basic vanilla event. I can create an RSVP on a plain vanilla Event. I needed my custom event, however, so I gave up on RSVP. Instead, I am using Sign Up and Sign Up Status, which gets you a lot of functionality, though not quite like an "E-Vite."

Just to be clear, we are using a standard Event content type... but still no RSVP link (a followup on #6 based on #7).

    Thank you,
    -Michael
