The additional field would provide help text, like other fields in registration form.
The weight would be useful whith other modules intervening in registration (e.g. captcha)

I've added a description (aka help text) for the form field on both the registration and user edit forms. See attached patch. If the patch doesn't apply cleanly, then use the latest dev release (available later today).

There is already a weight attribute on the picture fieldset, so no change is needed there. I'm using captcha on my test site with no problems.

Released in Avatar Selection 5.x-2.6 and 6.x-1.4. Note, the 5.x-2.6 version is dependant on jQuery Update.
