Issue Summary

This is a great module. However, my users find it confusing to have both a Google and Content search tab, both of which perform the same function from their pov (searching the site).

Is there any easy way to remove the Content and User search tabs? (When I remove user access to search content, while retaining access to search using Google CSE, the latter also disappears.)

I find it hard to believe that others don't have the same desire to remove the tabs.... but I can't find this on the site.

Many Thanks.

This should probably be under Support requests, but I can't delete/move it...

If anonymous users have permission to search Google CSE they should have access to the "search/google" path regardless of whether or not they have permission to search content. Sounds like the trouble is that you're linking to "search" instead of "search/google"?

This works perfect for me. It is actually a good idea! All what I did was uncheck all permissions for the search module and leave this module's permissions on for both guest and registered users. Both the delivered block and url search/google works perfect - cheers!

Works for me too - - thanks! Must have been operator failure of some sort...

Absolutely awesome module!

I am getting this same issue with Drupal 6.4 and 6.x.1.2 of Google CSE. I added anonymous permissions for Google CSE and remove permissions for drupal search. Browser to /search/google and get permission denied... Any ideas?
