Hi
Well, I tried applying the patch in http://drupal.org/node/241570 but this did nothing to help.
The comment in the submit issue pre-amble for this module suggests this should work but it did not.
TIP: If you are using Views 2 and are having trouble getting things like views-view-VIEWNAME.tpl.php to work, there is a BUG in Drupal core. See http://drupal.org/node/241570 for more information.
The easiest thing to do until Drupal 6.3 is out is to update to Drupal -dev
This is a new install of both Drupal 6.2 and Views 2. I created a view with a page and a block, gave it all the required information, but this error still displays on save, and when navigating to a page the block is displayed on.

error received when saving views or trying to display.

merlinofchaos commentedIf you're still getting that error, it indicates that either the patch was applied incorrectly, the cache was not flushed, or something along those lines. I recommend just updating to Drupal 6.x-dev (there's another bug that's fixed that affects Views) and go with that for now.
