Your module is very useful, and great will be if it could send selected role changes by mail too, watchdog is not very friendly and it is cleaned after some time.

Role Watchdog has a configuration option to email selected role groups on selected role changes.

admin/user/roles/role_watchdog

For example, I always have my Admin role group notified when anyone is added to or remove from Admin, just as a security procedure.

Marking this as closed since its already implemented.
