quicktags returns user to the top of the field?

I've got quicktags working on some fields which can be quite long - when a user enters a quicktag the field "resets" its view and the user is required to scroll down again (though the cursor is in the same place)
is there any way around this?

i dont think its minor, at least not for this plugin.
