All video files display fine in Safari but not firefox on the mac including http://www.stellapower.net/lightbox2 On my site the audio will play but the video is not visible.

Ok, I was able to reproduce the issue, and after a fair bit of investigating I think I've figured out why it's happening. The only downside is that it won't be possible to adjust the opacity value of the overlay or its colour, but only for the overlay for videos. Though, you can replace the lightbox2/images/overlay.png with a different image if you do need to adjust the colour.

Try the attached patch.
