This patch is against the DRUPAL-5 branch since that is the latest code. It will obviously have to be moved to HEAD prior to the port, but...

I accidentally committed this in http://drupal.org/cvs?commit=125913

So then when I synched them up in http://drupal.org/cvs?commit=125914 what I really did was copy 6.x compatible code to the HEAD branch and leave the 6.x compatible code on the DRUPAL-5 branch as well... :(

So...net effect is the same... :/
