Issue Summary
This really is a fantastic module -- I'm just wondering whether there's any way to filter the Google CSE results according to the drupal taxonomy (so users could filter results for only reports, or by state). Is that possible? Or am I fantasizing?
Thanks for making integrating Google such a snap.

You may want to read the terms of service for google custom search:
http://www.google.com/coop/docs/cse/tos.html
Especially the part where it says:
"1.4 Appropriate Conduct. You shall not, and shall not allow any third party to: (a) edit, modify, truncate, filter or change the order of the information contained in any Results (either individually or collectively),"
I believe filtering the results is a direct violation of these terms...

I think what you need to do is "pre-filter" the search results by tinkering with the query and other parameters passed thru to Google. There certainly is potential here but it's not something I'm currently working on. Patches are welcome.
