Description

Good Day,

I am a bit confused by a confirmation email I got. see below. This is the confirmation email I received from inviter account. what is surprising it when I got the confirmation email it was from dominik.kiss@gmx.at. This is not the inviter's email address. Any ideas?

Hi mark,

Your invited user (inviteduser@email.com) joined the site.
His name is username.

Your Boo The Ref! Team.

Thank you ,

Mark

Invite doesn't send e-mail notifications when an invited person joins the site. Is it possible you are using OG Invite? Or do you have even another module installed, which creates these notification e-mails?

nope.. definitely invite, well not 100% sure. I just tried it again and sure enough I got a confirmation email from the same email address above. and at the same time I am getting spammed. I will be more than happy to forward you the confirmation email. I do have OG module but it is not enabled as of the moment and has never been.

Please Clarify:

I have Invite your friends and colleagues on the menu, when I click on that I get an invitation form where I enter the email address. etc, etc.

Is this the invite module or not, if not then I am sorry for posting in the wrong area.

Thank you,

Mark

Do you have any idea what other module could be doing this?

Some clarifications: of course Invite sends out invitation e-mails -- that's the whole purpose of this module after all. However, it hasn't a feature which sends a notification e-mail to the inviter *after the invited user registered*. I looked through the module category Mail, but couldn't find a module that claims to extend Invite in such a way.

A last resort would be searching your project's modules directory for the string _invite( (ie. to find modules that implement hook_invite).

I just confirmed that it is not the invite module. I think it could be the the buddylist module. It has an invite option as well. Thank you for your help.
