Hello.

I was just playing around with my flash based gallery system. And I thought I would try pluggin it into drupal. The implementation is not very graceful right now. I had to do some patching to get it to work with drupal. But I think it came out ok.

It looks really awesome. I still find a few conflicting elements like overlapping titles and things in Firefox.

Is that software available under GPL license or are you gearing up to sell it?

In any case good stuff. And oh, I really like the sidebar rotating picture effect.

Looks great in IE! (not so good in Firefox 1.06)

Great job! keep up the good work. I think this could be a VERY popular addition to the module family.

Looks great in IE, not so well in Firefox (unless I refreshed the page).

One minor point, the flashing text, "close window", "back to albums" is a killer and I don't mean in a good way. It is very hard on my aging eyes.

Very nice. One negative -> the flashing close picture text link is annoying

Are you willing to do a write up on how you did it?

Thanks for the comments

I am aware of the "hanging" problem where things look overlaped and stalled when it is first loaded. I could never consistantly reproduce that problem so I couldnt debug it.

I also think the flashing link can be annoying. It used to have a smooth fading effect but some people didn't notice the link. Most likely it will change when it's time to skin the gallery.

This first implementation is just a hack to "plug" the gallery into drupal. If this gallery gains interest I will try to put in some time to make it a real module.

Thanks
John

Given that as of yet (please shoot me down if I am wrong about this!) there are no flash gallery modules in existence I think this would indeed be a popular first addition.

I will be among the first to download it if it ever happens, you can bet on that!

It is really cool your module
I want to know how you did it and I would be happy if you share it with us like drupal did it for you
