I'd like to let folks post events that show up on a calendar, including calendars for each group.
Also ideally I'd like to have a calendar to use for resource scheduling (reserving rooms or equipment).

It seems like calendar and date api are more up to date, but calendar isn't compatible with the event module, and og_calendar has been discontinued.

The event module isn't compatible with calendar views, but there is a resource scheduling module that works with the event module (and only the event module):

In general are people using the event module or the calendar module more? Can resource scheduling and so forth be done with the calendar module?
