(I've never used this "DHTML menu" you speak of, I'm going to assume it's a module?)
Type in the URL to /admin/build/modules and disable the DHTML module. If even that much isn't work, go to your database, look in the {system} table, and set the "status" column to 0 for the DHTML menu module.
of course I disabled the DHTML module
but that did not work.
i have to say I used it before and it worked fine.
I prefer not to work with the database unless aboslutely necessary...
thanks!
hope to get some more support on this

after installing DHTML menu there was a link to the blocks section which I clicked. I didn't see anything happening, but perhaps I missed something?
Please describe your symptom
Please describe your symptom more precisely. Are you getting no pages from Drupal, or just missing some page elements? Look at your PHP error logs (on the webserver). There may be an error in this new module.
thanks for your
thanks for your support.
DHTML module is a supported drupal5 and drupal 6 module. I am using drupal 5.
my website seems to be working very well, except the fact that I cannot see the navigation menu. This may be a simple enable/disable issue, it's just that I don't master Drupal just yet.
no php error logs were reported.
thank you
Look in blocks, you should
Look in blocks, you should see a block called DHTML: Navigation. Enable that block, place it in a sidebar, and disable the regular Navigation block.
