Core modules

This section provides help documentation for modules that ship with Drupal core. When you install Drupal, these modules are automatically installed. To make use of a module:

1. Make sure the module is enabled by visiting administer >> site building >> modules. Some core modules are enabled by default and Drupal is unable to function without them.
2. After enabling the module, set the correct permissions by visiting administer >> user management >> access control.

You can further extend the features and functionality of Drupal by using contributed modules. A list of help pages for contributed modules is available at the contributed modules handbook.

Please forward any queries you may have to the Drupal Forum. If you would like to add a module help page, follow the authoring guidelines. A member of the Drupal site maintainers will be able to create and update pages for you.
