I created a patch to Quote which will allow the admin to set a "maximum quote depth". After that limit, the quotes below it will be removed. This helps stop "Quote Pyramids" from happening.

Attached is my diff. I made this from SVN (what I track changes in) so I'm not sure if it's the right format. Hopefully it works right for ya!

Overkill and something that should be solved by educating end users about trimming or ameliorating through some CSS.
