let's see if we can't get it posted into the handbook. I'll take a shot at it if you like (feel free to contact me).
Great tutorial!
I read the document, and it's a great tutorial on getting a hierarchical site working with Drupal - good job! I also wrote some tutorials on a similar topic, and it's great to see that more such tutorials are now being made available to Drupal users.
Your method involves a fair bit of code tweaking - probably too much of a hack job for basic users - but I suspect that many people would be prepared to get their hands dirty in order to get a working solution to this problem.
I'm also glad to see that my taxonomy associations module is being put to good use! It was, of course, made for the purpose of helping taxonomy to be a viable solution for a hierarchical structured site. The category module will hopefully be a big improvement to what you can currently do with taxonomy context and taxonomy associations.

Very Interested in your Category module
Jeremy - I am very Interested in your Category module and would even like to help if I can. I would have used it instead but it appears it is still in the works so I had to come up with my own way of doing this.
I don't suggest I've created the best solution - just a solution given my limited brain power.
