http://iBelarus.net is a site with user generated content only. Our motto - freedom of information. If Belarusians have something to say and want to be heard - this site is for them. Everyone can express himself in any form - by publishing articles, uploading photos, using video and audio in their publications, and by creating meaningful content of a high quality about the Republic of Belarus.
Politics, economics, humor and entertainment - the focus is not limited. Who determines the quality of publications? Only our authors. Anyone can evaluate other messages and comments.
As you may know, freedom of speech in Belarus is limited by the authoritarian government, so we hope our site will be the main place for citizen journalism movement in Belarus.
We built it by ourselves, the project is non-commercial, so the site doesn't look too "professional" like Now Public or Orato. But we are constantly improving our skills by participating in life of global Drupal community, supporting newbies and so on.
As to modules, there is nothing special on our site. The site is built around Userpoints, Vote Up/Down, OG, MySite, Buddylist. And its obvious - there are TOO many additional modules! Our purpose was to force all these modules to work together as a single system, significantly improving usability, cause Internet users in Belarus aren't too experienced. In future we plan to extend it to full-featured social network for CJs in Belarus.
