How do I import terms into CCK Taxonomy or Content Taxonomy

Also a big problem for me, but only when using the hierarchical select widget. And for some reason my vocabularies weren't saving my setting for "multiple select" through the UI so I had to set it directly in the database. Now those vocabs accept multiple terms from node import, but again no luck with the HS widget vocab.

Mind qualifying that statement? Do you mean that you got it importing when you turned it off for that field, or when you uninstalled HS, or what?

For me, I was using Hierarchical Select (HS) for a content taxonomy field, but then got stuck at step 4 in the node import process (Map file columns) when the content taxonomy field wasn't recognized for me to import into (see attached). I've since disabled HS for that field, and even deactivated the "Hierarchical Select Content Taxonomy" sub-module (haven't uninstalled), but I still don't see the option to import anything to that content taxonomy field.

I've tried playing around with the HS setting for saving to the node_term table, but both ways failed to allow me to import.

I guess I'm just unclear on whether you succeeded in importing to a CCK or content taxonomy field at all. Any chance you'd elaborate on your small success? :)

Found solution: #434572-11: Add support for content_taxonomy

For those needing importing of content_taxonomy fields in D5, the included taxonomy module WILL work as is without tweaks, with the following minor tweak to content_taxonomy module:

on line 216, notice within the field hook:

unset($node->taxonomy);

This is the problem, because the field_hook gets called before node_import saves the node, and no content_taxonomy gets saved. If you google it, you'll see various complaints about this unsetting in various module issue queues. eg. http://drupal.org/node/121242. Sometimes it is suggested to change module weights but that will definitely cause problems. The other suggestion is to comment it out completely but I personally added this check for security:

if ($node->type<>"event" OR !$node->node_import_node) {
unset($node->taxonomy);
}

Oh, one other thing -- I have my content taxonomy field set to save as tag in its CCK configuration. I haven't tested for the other two cases.

I am using "node import" module. http://drupal.org/project/node_import

i was able to import my old cms(NOT DRUPAL - unknown cms) 'article' database table to drupal content type 'articlces' -
but it has no taxonomy linked to each article(the imported ones) and my drupal has taxonomy vocabulary term of "news and results"

I was wondering what table in drupal can i find similiar to this http://vorlage.net.au/trash-images/tags.jpg (my old cms tags table)
and how can i link the tags?

Please don't change the title to a meaningless title such as this... thanks.
