When ever I do something that creates output to the status box, the output is appended to previous messages. The status messages never go away though. I have to logout and then back in to make them go away.

No version number or module name, but I guess after two years and several Drupal releases it's fixed.

Or it could have been a PHP related issue, like described in [this post](http://drupal.org/node/29043) from two weeks after this issue.
Anyone?

Due to the lack of follow-up from the original poster, I'm going to assume this is no longer an issue. Drupal 5 is no longer supported, so if you have a similar problem in Drupal 6 or higher please open a new issue.
