I'm new to setting up forums - please excuse me if my question seems idiotic...

I've created a very simple forum using the Forum module and put some a topic and some posts/replies in it. All works well as administrator. However, when I log out and view the forum (as anonymous user - not logged in) I cannot see all the posts and replies - only the topics?

Where and how do I configure permissions so that all visitors can see all of the forum (but must log in to post stuff).

goto administer -> permissions

scroll down to node module. give permission for anon user role to view content
scroll down to the forum module and insure anon user role doesn't have the ability to create forum topics.

Hmm..both these are correct and still anon users cannot see all posts.

However, after ticking permissions>comment module>access comments for anon users it worked. Thanks for helping out!

I'm using Salamander theme... what theme are you using? Any chance it is
theme related?

The original posters problem was permissions related.
