On a clean install of Drupal 6.2 running on Fedora Core 6-- when I install Views-6.x-2.0-rc1 I can no longer see and manipulate the "Modules" page. Uninstalling Views restores the ability to see and manipulate the Modules page. It is critical to be able to install and uninstall modules, and Views should not inhibit this.

I solved this by upping php's memory limit to 32mb. More info is here:
