Using the search bench module (http://tag1consulting.com/SearchBench_In_The_Cloud) it would be desirable to run some benchmarks for this search implementation against the core search module. My thoughts are that it will perform about the same as core search with performance deteriorating ass additional ranks are added to the mix. It will be especially helpful to know how much the additional ranks will affect overall performance.
