Hi,
I am testing this module, and see an opportunity to archive messages on the site using mailhandler. Have you thought of doing this? To me this is the "holy grail" of online/email interactions and I'd love to help figure this out for drupal.
At its simplest, I can see that creating a mailhandler email address and adding it as a subscriber to a convey mailing list would let one set it up to post mailing list messages as new nodes. This should work already.
What is missing is mailhandler commands for follow-up messages so that they are posted as comments to the post. I'm not sure how this would be done - but some clues may be found here: http://drupal.org/node/38943
